Resumo:
The distribution transformer has the function of changing the voltage level and
therefore it plays basic role in the distribution net. Thus, this characteristic is responsible
for 33,3 % of the total losses in a distribution net.
Such losses of energy are followed by onerous costs for the utility company. As a
solution for this problem, a methodology was proposed in this work to describe the losses
of the transformer in function of the costs under the perspective of the manufacturer and
for the utility.
This methodology was carried through in form of an algorithm allowing to adjust
the distribution transformer with the demand to obtain the lesser operational costs from
this more efficient equipment, with a reasonable time of return for this investment.
