Resumo:
In this work a code has been developed to solve the convection heat transfer problems
with laminar flow and forced, natural and mixed convection.
The Volume Finite Method has been used with Semi-Implicity Sola method to make the
time discretization and two convective schemes are used: Upwind and Quick.
The work has been developed to newtonian fluid in laminar flow, transient, twodimensional
with rectangular and cylindrical coordinates.
Graphics was developed of the distribution of the stream functions and temperature. The
approach of values also was indicated in grhafics. The Nusselt number are determined in natural
and mixed convection.
For the validation of the developed computer program, some tests were carried out for the
flow of Poiseuille (between plain plates), tubes and in rectangular cavity to obtain results for the
for the forced, natural an mixed convection.
The results of this work are showed to natural and mixed convection in rectangular cavity
with aspect ratio 0,5 and 2 and vertical tubes with aspect ratio 2 and hot central disc in the
botton.
