Resumo:
This work deals with the analysis of forces and deflections that actuate in thin rectangular
plates under different load and boundary conditions, with a linear behavior.
In the project of structural plates, normally several process are used in order to determine the
forces and deflections, for instance, the Czerny Method, the Marcus Method, the Levy Process, the
Navier Process and Numerical Methods.
The Marcus and Czerny Methods are semi-empirical and the results were obtained by the use
of standardized tables. In the Levy and Czerny processes the resultes were analytical processed by
closed solutions under possible conditions. In the case of Numerical Methods, a software based in
the Finite Elements Method were developed in order to get the results.
The aim of this work is to compare the behavior of different forces and deflections of thin
rectangular plates under different loads and boundary conditions using different processes and
methods of analysis. The conclusions of the work were based on modeling of the results obtained.
