Resumo:
The proposed standard by ABNT (Associação Brasileira de Normas Técnicas) about
performance tests in UPS (Uninterrupted power supply) is the EB 2175 Semiconductor
converter standard,. However it doesn’t define completely test conditions, which must be
applied, and in some cases, the limit values aren’t defined. Then, to be evaluated in
specialized laboratories, the test conditions, in the lack of specification must be based on
national or international standards. According to this, this work tends to indicate which are
the limits and test conditions suggested in other standards, so that to guarantee results
reproduction in different laboratories. Otherwise, the performance test’s comparison from
different manufacturers must be performed under the same conditions. In this way they are
discussed initially, the ones defined by EB 2175 standard, indicating the limit values to the
necessary test’s conditions and performances. After that, other standards were used to
define the equipment performance. After discussing which tests should be performed, it is
proposed a total UPS test, showing which equipment can be used, how they were
interconnected and the result was compared to the performance limit values, proposed by
the shown standards.
