Resumo:
In this work, the numerical simulation of two-dimensional incompressible turbulent
flow, through a circular pipe using the control volume method is presented.
For the flow, one turbulence model is tested: the Algebraic Stress Model of Reynolds.
The results are compared with the results of κ - ε Standard Model, with simulated results and
with experimental values.
The results obtained are very near than Canton´s (2003) results and Razinsky´s &
Brighton´s (1971) , there are no sensible differences in the machine´s time for the same
numbers of iterations.
Two convectives schemes are used, QUICK Scheme and UPWIND Scheme.
The linear equation system solution is obtained by aplying the Choleski Method.
The physical domain discretization is done by means of the Staggered Grid strategy
and the SOLA (Solution Algorithm) method.
