Resumo:
In this work healthy were accomplished studies of Heat Transfer problems embracing
forced, natural and mixed convection. We studied 4 cases and 3 distinct rectangular cavities
geometrical with distinct rates. In case 1: different temperatures from divergent parts of
vertical plates. In case 2: different temperatures from aligned parts of vertical plates. In case 3:
different temperatures from divergent parts of vertical and horizontal plates. In case 4:
different temperatures from 4 divergent parts of vertical and horizontal plates (one in each
part). The formulation is developed for permanent regime, considering bidimensional flowing.
Finite Difference Method is applied to solve Conservative Equations. With this method
the Stream function, non-dimensional Temperature and the Medium Nusselt Number, were
determined based in the thermal and geometric parameters. In this work with purpose to
validate the computational program developed, tests were realized for the rectangular closed
cavity.
