Resumo:
The aim of this work was to analize a work study application to improve a plates
circuit printed manufacturing process. Such an improvement was expressed by means of work
measurement techniques and related concepts. The method used to perform this work was the
action-research approach. It was carried out by means of the Soft Systems Analysis technique,
where researchers are in a continuous and dynamic interaction with the production process. In
order to have in mind the necessary concept to develop this work, it is presented the literature
review on work organization concepts and its phases of development, as well as, work
measurement techniques. Afterword, this work examined and modeled the practical situation.
Then, works out a conceptual-design to compare with the practical situation, discussing its
introduction, implementation and explaining its results. The final result of this work
possibited to check the efficiency of the action-research approach and the soft systems
analysis technique as way to interaction the academic approach and the companies practice. It
also purposed to check the positive impact of the work organization to improve the productive
capacity with financial and social gain.
