Resumo:
This work emphasizes the advantage to develop a methodological approach to strategic
evaluation of the viability of enterprises of decentralized generation in isolated systems.
The main reason for the development of this dissertation is to help the decision-making
with the implementation of these projects, increasing the chances of success also allowing
verification of requirements for improving them.
A technique that can be used strategically to help this kind of assessment is the BSC,
Balanced ScoreCard, or System Performance Indicators.
The BSC is a methodology that is being used by very large companies as a tool for
measuring organizational performance. This approach allows the development of a
balanced set of indicators distributed in areas of assessment, allowing a broad view of the
merit of the project and at the same time focused.
The projects presented here are decentralized generation of electricity in isolated
communities, emphasizing the use of renewable energy sources, particularly the Micro and
Mini Hydropower. The method of evaluation of these projects is the main contribution of
this work in the construction of knowledge about the subject.
