Resumo:
Water supply systems are complex structures composed meanly by water captation, adduction, treatment, reservation and distribution, this last one formed by water distribution networks. The real and apparent losses occurs all along the structure, with emphasis on the distribution networks by its ammount of connexions that leads to higher losses. Some procedures and protocols are made to mitigate the problem, but it can be improved. The objective of this research is the propose of a protocol to auxiliate in the control of losses in water distribution systems, to be applied in a ficticious midsize system. For this purpose, steps will be taken as: diagnosis of the system and coliation of data, evaluation of existents methodologys and proposition of a protocol to this goal. The results shows that the protocol has a major potencial to contribute to improve de water and energy efficiency in water systems, which is the case of water supply systems.
