Resumo:
People with disabilities (PWD) have made great progress in their legal aspect in recent years. Stands out here that even after their rise with the implementation of laws, hearing PWD, as they are a linguistic minority, often face communication barriers. With the occurrence of the COVID-19 pandemic, hearing PWDs had their vulnerabilities worsened, including within Primary Health Care (PHC) services. This research aims to: Analyze the perception of primary care and hearing PWD nursing professionals in Itajubá/MG about health care during the COVID-19 pandemic. This is a qualitative, descriptive and exploratory study. Data analysis was carried out using the content analysis method proposed by Bardin (2011). To this end, data collection was carried out through a semi-structured interview with nurses from Primary Care in Itajubá -MG, and with the hearing PWD a questionnaire was carried out with discursive questions where they answered the questions online. Both participants, nurses and auditory PWD also responded to a sociodemographic questionnaire. As a result, categories were created, namely: Lack of knowledge of auditory PWD in the coverage area; Communication as the main factor for comprehensive care; Communicational accessibility; Lack of knowledge of LIBRAS; Health care; Communication with health professionals; Difficulties in providing health services and the approach of health professionals. It is concluded that communication between the hearing PWD and the health professional is the main barrier to be faced within health services regardless of the context, and it is extremely important that the health professional knows how to communicate in LIBRAS.
