Resumo:
he budget execution of the Federal Institute of Education, Science and Technology of the South
of Minas Gerais (IFSULDEMINAS) is complex and requires multiple decision-making actions
throughout the fiscal year. Due to this complexity, ideally, managers should have easy and
quick access to information that supports their decision-making. The Managerial Treasury
(TG), a system where it is possible to extract input data reports from the Federal Government’s
Integrated Financial Administration System (SIAFI), does not fully meet decision-makers’
needs, especially because it is not intuitive to use, and the institution lacks many trained staff
to operate it.In this context, the scientific objective of this work is to contribute to the field of
information management by proposing a model for obtaining information to support the
decision-making process. The technical objective involves developing a tool using Microsoft
Power BI software to aid in decision-making. This is an applied, qualitative, and exploratory
research that involves documentary analysis and direct observation. An information system was
developed using the Cross-Industry Standard Process for Data Mining (CRISP-DM) model,
following the stages of business understanding, data understanding, data preparation, modeling,
validation, and evaluation. The implemented system enables quick and intuitive access to
relevant budget information, facilitating the management and planning of institutional actions.
The tool is publicly accessible, allowing not only managers to use it as a decision-making aid
but also any interested person to gain insight into the budget execution of IFSULDEMINAS.
