Resumo:
In recent years, there has been a considerable increase in institutions implementing sustainability actions, either to comply with government regulations or because their managers are realizing the need for and importance of improving their practices related to sustainable development. Higher Education Institutions (HEIs) are also part of this scenario. Most notably, federal institutions, such as IFSULDEMINAS, which have a responsibility towards society, acting not only in the training of professionals and future leaders, but also more critical citizens who are aware of their role, as well as having an impact on their surroundings and the community in which they operate. The institution has a strong appeal in sustainability. The general objective of this work was to develop a set of indicators to evaluate sustainable performance in Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), which was done by building a Data Warehouse, guided by a Dimensional Model, the specific objectives were to structure the data collection to prepare the indicators, indicators within the dimensions of the social, environmental and economic tripod, aligned with the Sustainable Development Goals (SDG), that they are capable of to evaluate sustainable performance in Brazilian Higher Education Institutions (HEIs), starting with IFSULDEMINAS - Campus Inconfidentes. The sustainability tripod was devised in 1994 by British sociologist John Elkington. The technical procedure applied for the development of this work was action research. The work was complemented by unstructured interviews with the campus management team composed of the general director, the director of administration and planning and the general coordinator of production and development and the civil servant responsible for the institution's sustainability coordination, who is based in the rectory. It was evidente that the set of indicators were able to contribute to the achievement of the proposed objectives.
