Resumo:
On July 15, 2020, the New Sanitation Framework was sanctioned through Law No. 14,026 /
2020 with a significant step forward in the sanitation sector across the country and promoting
advances and attracting new investments to universalize and qualify the provision of services
in the sector. The main objective of the present study is to evaluate and correlate the indices
related to basic sanitation with the indices of economic and social development of the
municipalities of the state of Minas Gerais, Brazil. In order to carry out the present work,
consultation and collection of drinking water treatment and distribution data were carried out
on specialized sites and correlated them with the various human and sanitation indicators in
order to verify compliance with the basic sanitation framework in Brazil. . As a result, it was
obtained that the average and standard deviation of the service index data with evaluated ETEs
(2013-2035) are 92.02% and 0.13%. These values, in relation to the collection and treatment of
sanitary sewage are in line with Art. 11-B of Law 14026/2020 (BRASIL, 2020), of the legal
framework of sanitation. It was possible to conquer that the trend of increasing the percentage
values of the population with piped water versus MHDI and the values to be reached by
investments in sewage collection and treatment per capta(R $ / hab2035) seek universal access
to collection and treatment sanitary sewage in Minas Gerais, 90-100% of the population to be
served.
