Resumo:
The scope of the dissertation herein covers a relevant theme in production management, both
for organizations and researchers. It presents the integration of quality, environment,
occupational health and safety, and social accountability management systems. These systems
present affinities and the synergy can be reached, preventing inconsistencies and redundancies
from coming about. From the literature review of the Integrated Management System (IMS)
each of the management systems is presented, and an analysis of the technical, economical,
and cultural restrictions is presented as well, besides the benefits of the integration of the
management systems, based on a case study developed in an automotive company. As a result
of the research, a process-based integration is proposed. A conclusion is drawn that the data
obtained in the case study is in accordance with the literature besides demonstrating the
feasibility of the proposed approach for integration.
