Resumo:
This research is about Legislative Schools, with the aim of understanding the role of Legislative Schools in encouraging citizenship and democratic participation among their target audience in a development context that conditions political culture and enables the existence of these Schools, in the view of its participants. This inquiry aims to analyze the proposal of the Legislative Schools to encourage democracy and citizenship through the promotion of democratic principles and values from the point of view of the participants of these Schools. The justification for this research is presented as a need to study the possibilities of training processes that create a democratic society with broad participation of subjects in the field of politics. In methodological terms, a survey of the state of the art of Legislative Schools was carried out, a bibliographic review of authors who discuss political formation, democracy and development, as well as the application of questionnaires to participants in Legislative Schools in the region chosen for the study, which that is, the Immediate Geographic Region of Itajubá. The research brought relevant results to understand political formation in our context of development and society.
