Resumo:
This work was designed to investigate and demonstrate the influence of the multimodal genres
of the Portuguese language and their impacts on the educational context and society. The research
seeks to show how the use of multimodal genres, especially in the form of comics and comic
strips, can broaden students' perception of topics of social relevance, promoting a more analytical
and critical teaching.
The proposal is to explore how comics and comic strips can serve as pedagogical tools to
anticipate reflection and debate on social issues, encouraging students to develop interpretation,
analysis and creativity skills. Through the creation of visual narratives, students not only exercise
their cognitive capacities, but also broaden their critical view of the world, elaborating stories
that reflect contemporary problems and possible solutions.
The use of technological applications integrates this process, allowing students to have access to
modern tools to create and share their productions, enhancing engagement and learning. The
proposal reinforces the importance of integrating digital resources into teaching, both to expand
digital inclusion and to prepare students for a world increasingly mediated by technology.
Throughout the research, it was observed that working with multimodal genres promotes a more
dynamic and participatory learning environment, in which students are encouraged to collaborate
and explore their skills in a creative and meaningful way. This project, still under development,
has as its ultimate goal to contribute to the construction of a more inclusive, reflective and
connected education to the demands of the twenty-first century.
